There are three options for saving programs located in the Programs section:
- Save to Ozobot Blockly: Select Save As, then select one of 12 save slots, and Save or Overwrite.
- Download: The program can be downloaded to a folder on the computer. It will have the extension “.ozocode. and the front of the file can be renamed, e.g., “lightshow.ozocode”. When a student is ready to open it, they can click Open Program and navigate to the file. I like this flow because multiple students can have their own folders on the shared computer.
- Share: Creates a unique code that can be listed in a text, Word or Google doc that’s saved to the computer. Students can reopen the code by clicking Open Program, clicking Enter Share Code and putting in the share code.
If devices are being shared, we recommend the Download and Share options.
